Vagalume: a Last.fm client for Gnome and Maemo

Catwalk X-Large

This lightning talk is about the development of Vagalume, a Last.fm client for the Gnome desktop and for the Maemo platform, used by the Nokia 770/N800/N810 Internet Tablets.

Last.fm is one of the leading internet radios and social networks, with millions of users in more than 200 countries. Vagalume is the only Last.fm client available for the Maemo platform and one of the very few for any mobile devices. It was finalist in the 2008 edition of the Mobile Rules! application competition.

This talk will cover the development of this program since its early stages, its current status and some ideas for the future.
