The Build Brigade was created around two years ago from a group of people interested in improving the overall quality of the Gnome project, including its build process.
In its first year of existence we managed to bring the Gnome Buildbot (http://build.gnome.org), which, hopefully, has been useful for some Gnome developers around, providing build logs, unit tests results and unit tests coverage reports.
However, when the team was born back in 2006, our targets where far beyond this, including the possibility to track and show Gnome builds on several systems (architectures, operating systems, configurations, etc) and also, the possibility to build several software stacks (Gnome stable, Gnome unstable, Gnome mobile, etc).
In this lighting talk I’ll show examples of the above, including how to use the Gnome Buildbot to track builds on several architectures and an example of it being used to build the Gnome Mobile software stack.
