Future visions for web content in GNOME

Alp Toker (Nuanti Ltd.)
Catwalk X-Large

Developed in collaboration by WebKit and GNOME developers, WebKit for GTK+ is the first full featured web content engine built directly on GTK+ and GNOME technology.

Designed explicitly for deep integration with applications, WebKit/GTK+ now powers full-featured browsers like Epiphany as well as several traditional GNOME desktop and mobile applications, which use web capabilities to extend the user interface.

In this talk we’ll take a look at the latest hybrid web/GTK+ applications appearing in GNOME today and explore current and upcoming web technologies and trends that are shaping the future desktop.
